Sometimes the part of the conversation that you have the opportunity to overhear is more interesting than the whole. The reality is that when you take the things people say out of the context of their conversation it usually sounds quite interesting and it also has the opportunity to take on a whole new meaning through the "eavesdroppers" interpretation—it’s the spontaneous version of finding a letter on the ground. And if the part that one overhears stays with them overtime, it is likely due to it’s meaningfulness to that individual. Therefore, a conversation that was once held between two people, for instance, could be "found" by another person and interpreted to take on a new individual meaning. We feel that many people have overheard part of a conversation which made them think, laugh, cry, or get angry. Maybe it was two words maybe it was a 30 second cross-section of a conversation. We want to provide a method of displaying those overheard moments and, thus, allow more people to interact and interpret them on some level. This site is for things that have been overheard in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
